Who doesn't love fall fashions? They are so chic and sophisticated. Sipping a Pumpkin Spice latte with visions of a chill in the air - such a dream for us here in Florida. I love flipping through the likes of Vogue, Marie Claire, and Woman's Day this time of year as these publications really embrace the fall season.
Colors with names like Fawn, Hazelnut, Cinnamon, Butterscotch, Birch, Juniper, and Cranberry invoke the feeling of crispness in the air and magical changing of the leaves. I can just get caught up in the scents and colors of the season.
Then I walk outside my door and snap right out of it as the humidity and heat slap me in the face. What kind of crazy woman would I be to grab a puffer jacket or embrace the leather trend?!
Even if I can't embrace everything Fall, I am not going to miss out on this beautiful season. I'm opting for some cute textured sweaters layered over a tank and a fab pair of leggings. I'm ready for a rich chocolate bootie to make a statement and transition seasons.
Just because the weather isn't in our favor doesn't mean we can't still indulge in wearing the rich pallets of hues and styles that Autumn has to offer.
Here are a few ways to incorporate fall into your wardrobe while keeping cool and looking cozy:
Delight in winter white with a lightweight vest or jean jacket. White is always a good idea in Florida, and soft vanilla or ivory is one of the most flattering hues for any skin tone. These layering pieces can be thrown over a long dress to mix and match with other neutrals as outerwear pieces. Embrace the jewel tone trend. Pair a teal, fuchsia, or mustard with your favorite white Coconut Rows. Go Wild with Animal Prints. While we find they are always in, were seen on the runway for Fall 2019. You can always find a great selection of animal print blouses and sweaters here at Anthony's. Our current favorite is the Via Ritina Animal Patch Denim Ankle Pants or the brand new Krazy Larry pants. It will add just the right amount of wild to your look.
Remember: White pants are not off-limits all year round here, so add a button-down shirt and chunky accessory and riding boot you're ready for a polo match. White will forever be the best base to take your look from Fall to Spring.
My husband, Bob, and I recently bought a sprinter van and are cruising around the state. We love the freedom that this new vehicle brings us. I will certainly be stopping by one of Anthony's 13 locations to get my Florida fall wardrobe in sync.
