2018 is here, and I am sure that many of us ladies have made a resolution to get in better shape. In order to stick to that resolution, we may need some guidance. So, here I present to you some tips on how to achieve your fitness goals in 2018. After all, we have the perfect climate in Florida to make our fitness resolution happen all year round!

Write Your Fitness Goals Down


Start 2018 with a positive vibe and fresh perspective and write down your fitness goals. Put them somewhere where you can see them daily - so that you are constantly reminded. These goals should be specific things that you will take seriously. Try not to make them too general. Under the goals make bullet points to add the steps of how you are going to achieve these fitness goals. For example, add steps like: go to the gym from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, etc. By doing this, you will train your mind to focus. After that, follow your steps to achieve your fitness goals and don't look back.

Make Sure Your Fitness Goals are Realistic

Think about why you want to change and what you need to do to make it happen. But don't go overboard and commit to something that you won't stick to. What is realistic based on your current lifestyle? These small changes will become part of your routine. So, remind yourself of why you want to get in better shape and don't forget about your steps to get there!

Create a Routine

Put your workouts on your calendar, set your alarm for a morning walk on the beach, and be mindful of moving more throughout the day. Do not let yourself get off track because then you will have a harder time getting back ON track. If you know you will not be able to work out on a certain day, make it up the next day. Park further away at the grocery store so that you can walk more, take the stairs, and stand up more. Also, find exercise that you enjoy doing. Florida is ideal for taking walks on the beach or outside and also for swimming! Those are always great options!

Get Outside!
