5 Ways to Get More SPF
Posted on 28 August 2017
It's summer. And what could be better than summer in Florida?! Honestly, we live in a fabulous place where tourists vacation, but we get to remain on vacation (somewhat)! ;) So, whether you are visiting Florida for a trip to a theme park, a beach day, or you're a resident taking a staycation or going for a swim, you'll definitely want sun protection. SPF is so important for skin protection - any dermatologist will tell you this. It helps with anti-aging and skin cancer prevention. Thankfully, nowadays, we have so many options to protect our skin. That being said, here are 5 ways to get more SPF that will help you prevent skin damage and sun burns!
1) IBkul Sun Shirts
IBkul Sun Shirts are truly, truly the best sun shirts. Not only will they protect your skin with UPF 50 fabric, but they will have you looking "so Florida" with their pretty patterns and bright colors. The IBkul sun shirts feature a fast-drying, moisture-wicking fabric with two-way circulation that guarantees to keep you cool all year long. Whether you are playing golf, tennis, relaxing poolside, or at the beach, you will be SPF protected. Now you can play outside all day long in this stylish, chic, top — there’s just no competition.
Of course sun you can get more SPF by wearing sunscreen. The American Cancer Society says you should look for a sunscreen that offers broad-spectrum UV coverage and has an SPF of at least 15. Also, you must read the label to find whether you must reapply the product every 40 or 80 minutes while swimming or sweating. Sunscreen doesn't block the sun or last for more than two hours.
3) Foundation with SPF
Foundation with an SPF is a great way to protect your skin and prevent wrinkles. Look for a non-irritating foundation that won't cause break outs. This would be a foundation that includes sunscreen with pure titanium dioxide, so it will be less irritating to sensitive skin. As for finish, a silky matte formula will deliver solid, but still natural-looking coverage.
4) Facial Moisturizers with SPF
This is a daily routine that you can do with a moisturizer containing an SPF: After washing your face in the morning, apply the moisturizer to your face, neck, and upper chest. The delicate skin around your eyes needs protection as well, but most moisturizers are not recommended for use in the eye area. Eye creams that have an SPF should also be applied during the moisturizing step of your morning routine.
5) Anthony's Resort Wear Sundresses
Anthony's Resort Wear Sundresses are ideal for SPF protection. The on-the-go chic dresses are simple, stylish, and perfect for everyday wear. With UPF50 sun protection, a flattering fit, smooth feel, and wrinkle resistance - you'll look adorable (while being practical and preventative)!
Please don't forget to get more SPF, Florida gals! It is very important. I love my sun shirts when I am out in the sun - and I wear a foundation with an SPF daily. Try these tips on your next sunny day out! You will not regret it.
