Dress Up in Denim: Our Favorite Styles
Posted on 23 November 2020
Though once associated with the rugged outdoors, denim clothing has since been redefined as a polished, sophisticated, and feminine fashion choice. In fact, denim has become high-fashion and is no longer showcased solely on pants, nor does it only come in blue.
Here at Anthony’s, we have denim jackets, shorts, dresses, and even tops in various colors and with dazzling embellishments. Of course, we also have a wide variety of blue jeans, many of which have pull-on styling and stretchy material so you can feel comfortable while looking great. We love denim and are excited to highlight some of our favorite styles for you.
Krazy Larry has long been an Anthony’s customer favorite for their expertly-tailored, pull-on ankle pants. In addition to having a range of exciting prints, their newest collection includes sleek dark wash denim pant designed in a classic blue jean spirit. It is a great foundation to build an outfit on and looks fabulous with a cozy sweater for fall.
White denim elevates any outfit to instantly look more refined, and this New Direction jean jacket does it well while still keeping that unequivocally cool feeling that denim offers. With its ¾ sleeves and clean white fabric, this jacket is seasonless and can be worn all year. It looks especially stylish when worn with a pair of brightly-colored printed ankle pants for a walk in the park on a temperate autumn day.
This Ethyl Clothing pull-on ankle pant is another example of dark wash denim at its finest. There are fringed cutouts at the hemline, which add an edgy statement to this posh pant. It also has classic 5-pocket styling in addition to a pull-on waist for ultimate wearability without sacrificing style. We love these pants alongside a tailored button-front shirt for a look that is both casual and creative.
Featuring a pastiche of pastel flowers, this French Dressing denim crop pant is trendy and beautiful at the same time. Though spring-like in essence, this pant is perfect to wear during the fall and winter months to impart a splash of colorful flora to what can feel like a grey time of year. These pants are lovely when paired with a soft white chenille sweater for brunch with friends.
In classic light wash denim, this Erika clamdigger pants in color Neptune is an ideal match to almost anything you wear it with. The pull-on styling ensures that you will remain comfortable all day. This clamdigger pant is well-suited for wading in the tide while taking a sunset walk on the beach. Try wearing it with a boat neck sweater for a preppy, sailor-inspired outfit.
This Wild Palms knit top is visually appealing, with a unique faded ombre effect, contrast stitching, and a cute side pocket. Made from a cotton blend with a little stretch, this denim fabric is softer than most. It would look wonderful worn with a solid color ankle pant for an afternoon at the farmer’s market.
Expressive and artsy, these Via Ritina denim ankle pants have a style to spare. Black denim makes another appearance on this list, but this time it’s not quite as prim, with hasty white paint drips splattered across the surface. The paint detail gives these pants energy and movement while still having sophistication. Paired with a white top, these pants are perfect for a trip to the museum.
With gorgeous pearls sprinkled near the frayed high-low hemline, this French Dressing pant is an example of one of the many uniquely ornamented jeans that we carry. It’s light blue color compliments the delicate look of the pearls, and we love the way this pant looks coordinated with a pink top for an outfit that is classically feminine.
We adore funky tunics and this Parsley and Sage top has an eclectic denim patchwork pattern that can’t be beat. A unique take on classic denim, this top has a variety of fabric patches that coalesce to create a memorable look. This tunic would look great with a classic blue jean for a tasteful denim-on-denim outfit.
