What began as a modest jewelry counter inside the old post office in West Palm Beach in 1895, has now blossomed into one of the oldest and most respected names in Ladies Apparel.

Not many retailers last 20 years. Let alone almost 120…!

In the 1920’s, Anthony’s three-storey flagship store in downtown West Palm Beach carried everything from Designer Fashions for Men and Women to Sporting Goods.

Fashions come and go. It takes a real passion for perfection to make it more than 100 years.

The Anthony’s family business, currently owned and operated by third generation Pope Anthony, has survived and thrived over the years despite a fire in 1896 that destroyed most of West Palm Beach’s downtown.

Even the Great Depression of the 1920’s and a 1928 hurricane that blew the roof off of their flagship store, could not slow the growth of this South Florida Icon.

Today Anthony’s specializes in Resort inspired Casual Sportswear, Dresses and Swimwear at surprisingly affordable prices. The looks are stylish, easy to wear and are rarely found in department stores.

With numerous locations on both Florida’s East and West Coast, plus The Villages in Central Florida, Anthony’s continues to look for new locations at a time when other famous name Florida retailers fade from the scene.
